I've been working in private practice in Bristol since 2003. I'm an accredited member of the BACP, a member of the Association for Humanistic Psychology, and a friend of the Black and Asian Therapists' Network. I'm a member of Psychotherapists and Counsellors for Social Responsibility (PCSR), and former steering group member and editor of Transformations, its in-house publication. As a facilitator I love holding groups in wild places – both very remote and wilder corners of Bristol - learning in and from the elements, group process and embodiment. I've authored three books: Meditating with Character (Mantra Books, 2012), Other than mother: Choosing Childlessness with Life in Mind (Earth Books, 2016) and Bodywise: weaving somatic psychotherapy, ecodharma and the Buddha in everyday life (Somatic Psychotherapy Today, 2017). With Deborah Lee, I'm currently co-editing a #metoo book for counselling and psychotherapy, to be published by PCCS Books in 2019. I'm also a regular column writer for 'Somatic Psychotherapy Today'.
