About this event

Shamanic – Movement – Dance – Elemental – Journeys

Winter Solstice – Earth Element
The bear is ready to hibernate. She has a final dance in the moonlight and then buries herself deep into the dark cave of the Earth.
What is hibernating in you?
Where and how does your animal within want to hibernate?
What do the dark cave places evoke in you?
How can we be closer to the Earth and really honour ourselves in this season of rest and rejuvination?

Bring yourself as you are to explore:
Element – Earth
Wheel – Winter Solstice
Themes – Darkness, caves, hibernation. Last Dance in the moonlight before going into cave. Moon shines down in the darkness. Bear snuggles, wrapped up warm in furs. Resting, stillness, peace, settling down. Bear wisdom. Letting the Earth hold us. Burying into the Earth. Dreaming through the Winter. Dream like feelings and journeying to other realms. Slowing down and stopping.
Colours – Dark – Browns, Greens, Black
Animals – Bear, land & hibernating animals.

This is the 4th in a series of 4 one-day workshops, which will take us through the seasons of the year. (See events for the other 3 workshops for Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox). Each of the 4 days can be taken separately if you wish to focus on one or more of the elements, or this can be a complete journey through the year by attending all 4 days.

For this workshop we will be focusing, embodying, moving, dancing and journeying into the Winter Solstice and the element of Earth. We’ll be exploring connections with nature, movement/dance with music, stillness/meditation/shamanic journeying, artwork, paired experiential exercises, and sharing our experiences as a group.

No previous shamanic or dance/movement experience is needed. These workshops are appropriate for anyone wishing to deepen their connections with their own bodies (if you have physical symptoms or limitations these are also welcome), with nature, and with shamanic nature-based practices.

Cost:
For each individual day: £75, or £65 for the early bird discount (1 calendar month before each start date)
For the series of 4 workshops: £240 (if paid in total before 21st March) or £220 for the early bird discount (before 21st February)
All payments are non-transferable and non-refundable (unless the workshop is cancelled).
Price includes a simple soup and bread lunch.
