1 day workshop 1st November 2025 – London – 12 noon till 6
Why is self care not prioritised in the therapy profession?
We are inviting you to join us for a day gently paying (playing) attention to your wellbeing…
Through discussion, embodiment, experiments and art making, we can inquire…
-How do we take care of ourselves in our work, eg; can we physically move if we are uncomfortable?
-How do we take care of ourselves when we are impacted in work sessions?
-Can we be impacted and still take care of ourselves?
-What has our training taught us about self care?
-What are our expectations of being a therapist? Can we be human, rather than perfect? Can we gently prioritise our self care?
During the workshop, we can have fun, play, experiment with how we take care of ourselves, look at what gets in the way of our self care, and find easy ways to include self care in our lives going forward. (bring your diary to make some caring appointments with yourself!)
How do we relax and look after ourselves kindly, without it being an extra set of pressures and cause for self-flagellation?
Practical info:
We will offer a brief zoom meeting before the day, to give you an opportunity to meet people and get a sense of the workshop.
The in-person day will take place near Elephant and Castle station, London
We’re offering this day to therapists (of any variety, psychological or/and physical) and trainee therapists, and others who feel drawn to join us.
