About this event

Our Impulses towards our Clients – A training workshop with Stephen Tame
Saturday January 19th Bovey Tracey, Devon
A workshop for psychotherapists, counsellors and related practitioners, exploring how the strange and uncomfortable impulses we have towards our clients can become jewels of clarity and change. How can we make sense and creative use of our uncomfortable responses to our clients?
We will often experience unusual and strange impulses, often in our bodies, which can be difficult to admit to, make sense of, and use therapeutically.  These impulses can be taken as opportunities to support the unfolding of our clients’ therapeutic process (rather than dismissed as irrelevant or  turned on ourselves as evidence of our unfitness to practice!)

This workshop, led by an experienced relational body psychotherapist, is a chance to explore these experiences, and offers a safe container to experiment with offering these impulses in the service of our clients’ work.
