About this event

A workshop for
psychotherapists, counsellors, trainers, and other relational workers

Although we aim to treat our clients with respect, empathy and clarity, we’re going to get things wrong sometimes:
We might misunderstand a client, say something clumsy, our attention will wander, we forget their name or appointment time, we push their buttons inadvertently, overstep the mark…

With the best will in the world, there are many ways things can go pear shaped.

In this experiential workshop, we will explore how to:
-Pay attention to mistakes we are likely to make
-Feel more relaxed and comfortable about the mistakes we will make as practitioners
-Handle our mistakes gracefully and openly
-Actively use the mistakes we make to deepen the work, and to help our clients move forward

Stephen Tame is a relational body psychotherapist, with many years of experience and enthusiasm working with adults, couples, children and trainees. He sees clients at his practice in Bovey Tracey, and runs workshops and trainings thoughout the country.

He aims to take a non-expert position in his work, and continues to learn from his clients. www.stephentame.co.uk
