About this event

Intimacy is right at the heart of the therapeutic project. Therapy could be defined as the study of what happens when we offer our clients intimacy- our availability, our openness to relationship. Intimacy is supported by and supports honesty, openness and spontaneity. It can be shut down by defensiveness and avoidance.

On this workshop part of the occasional ‘How to Be a Bad Therapist’ webinar series we will explore the centrality of intimacy and what we mean by working relationally. We aim to dive into some of the complexity and richness of embodied relating, in both theory and practice.

Allison and Nick will give a short presentation followed by group discussion and breakout rooms. We are interested to create a climate on this workshop where rigorous and undefensive practice can be explored and supported.

We hope you can join us; places are limited to 23 participants.
